A small little progress report here, I’ve started work on the next actor animated battler. It’s nothing ground breaking but something that most people would need at some point.
I’ve got a little gif of what tends to happen, the morning after effect. Sometimes I work quite late into the night on a battler, which can sometimes be a problem on tired eyes, the main problem is that this sort of thing isn’t normally noticed. What I tend to do now is a couple of things:
- Flip the entire canvas horizontally. Spotting balance issues and or shading problems.
- Create a new layer and remove any shadows and highlights, then do them again. Flick between layers when done.
- Paste in your battler next to others, continuity and style problems are normally spotted here.
Here’s my night before and how I managed to escape before being asked to stay for breakfast.
Hope the advice is of use to yous, stay safe.
