Charactersets

These are all of the character sets I’ve made to match the Animated Battlers, the style I chose to use was the early Final Fantasy series. My reason behind this was that it gave more room for detail on the body of characters and lost the huge heads. I also created two templates for people wanting to create their own outfits.

  1. Hi there! Thanks for making all this stuff, very useful! One question: how do I go about making my own sprites based on these templates? Do I simply open these .png images in my software and edit these there? Thank you in advance and sorry for the noob-ish question!🙂

    • Glad you like these. Yeah that’s all you need to do, just make sure you also save it as .png otherwise you’ll loose the quality if you save as something else.

  2. I’m not sure if you can see my comments..(because all of most stuff was form May or June..)

I really love all of your material you made for everyone!!!
But is there anymore charactersets for other actors you made?
Thanks for all your hard work!!!!

  3. Thanks for all your work. You are really amazing. I was wondering if you had considered making your stuff in pieces. Instead of having made the girl above with hair and the dress, you could make sprite sheets for the individual items (hair , clothing, tiara [or other accessories]). I am not a sprite artist so I am sorry if I am saying something dumb. To me, it seems like it would be easier to make a bunch of interchangeable pieces and a few models and let your users config themselves.

RPGMaker has a tool on Steam called Game Character Hub which is a nice little tool for piecing together sprites. I even use it on your animated battlers when I want to quickly recolor things.
